Feature Built-in image/file uploading

It needs to be easier to upload images and files. At the moment there is an option in the admin panel, but it would be nice if certain users could upload content in an integrated manner without breaking the continuity of posting new topic.

I hate to have to upload images/files on my skydrive only to link them in the community tracker.

Moreover I cannot delete them even after a while without breaking the posts I wrote.

this addition would be a welcome addition to the knowledgebase section.

Having an internal file storage and upload mechanism ensures the availability of included screenshots.

I started working on this. Need to set up quotas and such. As an initial bit of help, users with 500 rep or more can now upload files on the user page.

I will be improving this feature it is in no way complete

  • do you actually mean “can not upload”? I do see the new tab for uploading files and have just uploaded two images that are used in a KB article. I have just over 500 rep ;) – birkoff over 2 years ago
