Ability to see/sort by Topic ID, specifically for bugs/feature requests
At my work we use Visual Studio as a bug tracking system. We also use Community Tracker for our Betas. We are having difficulty with linking confirmed bugs on the beta to bugs we then enter into VS. The best I could come up with so far was pasting a hyperlink into the history of the bug but if a developer isn’t logged in to community tracker then it makes using the hyperlink useless.
So I would like it if the ID Numbers for topics were more prominently displayed on the topics in a way that could be sorted by users or so that I could type #48, for instance, into the search bar and it would bring up Topic #48.
I would find this the most useful for bug tracking and for feature request tracking.
Hi goose, I added an awesome little feature for you if you type #100 into the search box, it will find the topic with id #100.
You can easily glean the id from the URL.
I am also thinking of adding a feature that makes the id visible next to the created date. This should make it a lot easier to use.
