How much is the Improver badge worth?
In the new CT Quickstart Guide on MBCT we mention that a user can quickly gain a second wish by making at least 1 improvement. More info here
I noticed that SeriousSamP made an improvement and did get the improver badge, but no reputation for it.
We were under the assumption that the improver badge was worth 15 points. Apparently that’s not correct…
As an incentive to new users it would be nice if they could at least get a second wish in a short time if they make a little effort.
So, is this badge worth any points?
It not worth any point by-design but its really easy to change (data driven)
If you think it makes sense to change I will change it.
Given the fact that it’s a one time badge and the user does have to do something for it, I think it would be a good incentive to make the badge worth 15 points.
Or 10 even so that 2 improvements add up to 15 reputation, if you take the minimum rep bonus (1 + 2 + 10 + 2).
People get the change to quickly gain another wish and the overall quality of the content is improved.
The only “downside” would be that the users that already have the badge will get the rep bonus also, but I think that will only happen on new recalc.
